KATHMANDU, September 15: The government is to present the Employees Adjustment Bill in the Legislature-Parliament on coming Tuesday.
The meeting of the State Affairs Committee under the Legislature-Parliament held here today took the decision to this effect, said Committee's President Dil Bahadur Gharti.
The meeting has also decided to hold consultations with the Minister for General Administration, Tek Bahadur Basnet, and Secretary at the Ministry of General Administration (MoGA), Mohan Krishna Sapkota, towards this end.
Gharti said that government was stepping up the process to introduce the Bill at the earliest due to the difficulties facing the adjusting the employees in lack of Employees Adjustment Acts.
Committee member Rameshwor Phuyal shared that the local level and federal governments would be formed following the adjustment of the employees. Hence, the government is to table the Bill.
Similarly, another member Rekha Sharma stated that if the Adjustment Bill is introduced, more Bills could be formulated to induct more employees in the local and federal level.
The government is to adjust the government employees at the local, federal and central level as per the federal set up of the country.
The MoGA had presented the Employees Adjustment Bill to the Committee. RSS
