Eleven arrested for attempting to tear down national flag

BIRGUNJ, Nov 19: Police apprehended eleven individuals as they attempted to steal and tear down the national flag placed on the Singe Bridge in Parsagadhi-9. The arrests were made by a police team from the Area Police Office, Paterwa Sugauli.

BIRGUNJ, Nov 19: Police apprehended eleven individuals as they attempted to steal and tear down the national flag placed on the Singe Bridge in Parsagadhi-9. The arrests were made by a police team from the Area Police Office, Paterwa Sugauli.


According to Police Inspector Ramraj Kesari of the Area Police Office, Paterwa Sugauli, these individuals, reportedly intoxicated, were caught attempting to tear down the national flag at the Singe Bridge on Thursday night. Police had increased vigilance in the area after locals complained last week that some of the national flags decorated at Singe bridge were stolen.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ankit Patel, Sulabh Shrestha, Biswas Chaudhary, Nirmal Chaudhary, Krishna Prasad Pokharel, Viraj Thakur, Deepu Ojaiah, Sagar Chaudhary, Gautam Mahato, and Nandan Das Tharu of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality-1 Sakhuwaniya Toka, have been charged with illegal activities.


Police Inspector Kesari added that another individual Lucky Chaudhary is also involved in the incident. The police have filed a case of indecent behavior against the detainees and initiated further investigation into the incident.
