BAITADI, Jan 27: A bus (Na 7 Kha 2570) carrying 32 passengers along the Patan-Pancheshwar road section met with an accident at Melalui Municipality-2 Rautgaun, at around 6 AM on Thursday.
Eight persons were injured in the accident, according to Inspector Darshan Khadka of the District Police Office. The injured have been identified as Kamalapati Bhatta of Melalui-6, Manisha Chand, Durgadatta Bhatta of Melalui, Sushila Chand, Janak Auji of Shivnath Rural Municipality, Ram Singh Saud, Puja Bhatta of Daiji of Bedkot Municipality of Kanchanpur and Siraj Ansari of Bara. The injured have been taken to Dadeldhura District Hospital for treatment.
Seven injured in bus accident in Baitadi
The Pavandut Yatayat bus heading toward Melalui from Mahendranagar fell 20 meters down the road. Police have arrested the bus driver Birendra Luhar of Shuklaphanta Municipality-1 of Kanchanpur.
