Eight arrested with 4,755 liters fuel in capital

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Police have arrested eight people for black marketing petroleum products from different parts of the capital city on Wednesday.

Police also confiscated 4,755 liters fuel from their possession.

Police said Prakash Panta, 28, and Tej Bahadur Dahal, 30, of Bahundangi-6 of Jhapa were arrested from KMC-14, Khasibazaar with 300 liters petrol.
 
Likewise, Manoj Sha, 25, of Dhulbari, Jhapa was nabbed with 165 liters petrol and 110 liters diesel from the same locality.  

Similarly, Prajwol Shakya, 20, hailing from KMC-13 was held from KMC-13 with 100 liters petrol.

Police further said they arrested 39-year-old Prakash Sapkota of Jhapa with 850 liters petrol and 1,600 liters diesel from KMC-14, Kalanki.       
Similarly, Baldev Podar, 52, of Morang and Sunir Podar, 34, of Morang were detained with 1,330 liters petrol and 300 liter diesel.
