KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said academic institutions should focus on producing competent and capable human resources to meet the national aspiration for 'prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali'.
"Proficient educational human resources should be produced for national prosperity," he said during the signing in ceremony of University Development Assistance Project Agreement between the Kathmandu University and Bridgin Foundation Belgium took place today on the witness of the Prime Minister at Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar.

Bridgin Foundation president professor Tanko Mouhamadou and KU vice chancellor and Dhulikhel Hospital's founder Prof Dr Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha signed on the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
"We have entered the phase of development and prosperity following the political transition. Equality, development and good governance along with social justice is our resolution," the Prime Minister said, expressing his hope that academic institutions like the KU would do all their best to give competent human resources required for realising the national aspiration for 'prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali'.
He went on to say that the project would be helpful in ensuring community's access to education and producing efficient human resources. The agreement aims to construct development infrastructure in various sectors to ensure community access to education. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokhrel was also present on the occasion.
