According to the company, the engine of Madass 125 is based on horizontal one cylinder originally used in Honda mopeds and small motorcycles of the late 1960s.
“The looks of the bike is completely different that the bikes currently available in the Nepali market. When customers see it for the first time, they might think it´s a scooter or a bicycle,” said Saakha. “The bike, however, is simple to maintain, easy to adjust and inexpensive to upgrade.”
Thanks to its unique design, Eco Auto is already getting inquiries for Madass 125. “We are confident that the bike will be popular among Nepalis,” added Saakha.
Madass 125 is a naked bike that incorporates five-liter fuel tank into the frame and has no external bodywork. It has a stainless steel under-seat exhaust, a four-speed manual gear box or automatic transmission, and dual hydraulic disc brake. The under-seat muffler of the bike incorporates exhaust catalyst technology to reduce air pollution and meet Euro III emission standard.
The bike has no center stand, no storage compartments, racks or windshield. It is powered by a 124cc 4-stroke engine which ensures a smooth and powerful ride. The bike, which comes with both electric and kick start, delivers mileage of 50 km per liter, according to the company.
Madass 125 features 16-inch tubeless tires mounted on alloy rims and 260mm front disc brake with piston caliper and 215mm rear disc brake with floating piston caliper that provide better stopping power. It is will be available in 4 different colors: matte black, racing red, white and a dual color black and orange. The bike will be available at Rs 185,000.
Eco Auto is opening three showrooms - two in Kathmandu and one in Pokhara - especially to promote Madass 125. “The showrooms and the bike will be launched on the same date,” said Saakha.
