KATHMANDU, June 5: The Election Commission has decided to take the representatives from various diplomatic missions to visit eight cities across the country under the second round of the local level elections. 


The EC has made arrangement for the representatives to inspect 12 to 15 voting stations of each city in the election taking place on June 28, said EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.

As per the plan, Biratnagar and Dhankuta cities are picked from Province No 1, while Janakpur and Bardibas from Province No 2, Bhairahawa and Palpa from Province No 5 and Dhangadhi and Dadeldhura from Province No 7. 


The Chief Returning Officer, Chief District Officer and District Election Officer from the respective places would decide on the place of visit for them. 


In the first round of local election held on May 14, the representatives from 12 foreign diplomatic missions were allowed to have inspection visit to various voting stations within the Kathmandu Valley. RSS
