Earthquake 2072; Bitter question bestowing better solution

Today, it has already been 15 days after the main shock of the earthquake, cracked and crashed on April 25, maddening and messing up the whole Nation, numerous aftershocks still going on, making situations as if of a burnt child being dreadful to the fire.

About fortnight ago, on that day, I was watching “Uddan”, a hindi dailyshop on television, characterised by the leading character, Chakor, a genuinely genius girl, raised in the poor family of highly dominating domain, dreaming that she could erase the tattoo engraved on her arm as a symbol of being slave, to free herself, friends, family and folks, all around her, from the circle of concrete chain encircled by the cruel lord. She knowing, meaning of her name as a bird, flying with an aim and ambition to reach the moon, which seems quite impossible, with her strong determination she faces the music and tone that eventhough she cannot reach the moon, she would rather bring the moon on the earth, one day, for sure.

That was the day, I was on the third floor of my abode, at my room, all alone, on my bed watching the character Chakor. At about noon, a power packed earthquake, 7.6 Rechtar measured in scale, ragged and rubbled the region that made me completely numb, blowing and brusting my mind agaped. The power went off simultaneously. I ran to the door, to my room and sat in its frame coverage area. The television and clock hooked at the walls were shaking as if they were dancing. The sound systems placed over the table were jumping and juggling as if being played beyond full volume and line still passing on. The roof, walls and fan were moving terribly that I couldnot believe on, ongoing things, infront of my eyes, felt it as a dreadful dream, thought it would be my last day, the then. I managed to stay calmly for about a minute, heard my mother echoing me. I declined through stairs safely, saw my mom shivering. We paddlocked the door and shut the shutter, ran for an open area, nearby, at a walking distance, which became crowded with scores of people in no time. Everyone, over there were in panic, shouting and shivering. Small children were crying and screaming. Older people were predicting about the aftershocks, asking God to stop such serious saddening situation. I including some, were trying to get other members of the family, connected, to remain them aware and stay in safe surroundings. The network was so busy that noone came in touch. After about an hour, both my father and brother got to the arena we were, from their job stations that relifed us. Much rumoured news came to be heard within the stay over there. We including others, feeling feared and frightened with such chaoitic circumstances, made and had our night stay in makeshifts in an open area under tents and traupaulins, being earthquake or aftershock probable at night. A strong aftershock on the following day deteriorated the daytime. The state of affairs was tending terrific and terrible, traumatizing everyone, still today, to live in those makeshifts after the post longing series of aftershocks with passage of days, leaving behind their own homes.

During those days, I including my brother were called at the office. We including other staff members remained as standby duty officers, at our undamaged office building. Some of our friends went to collect fingerprint of corpses, for their identification and handovering to their kith and kin. Some got DNA sample collected from cadavers to makeup their DNA profile for their personal identification. My hamlet, being not strucked strong, only few ancestorial houses were damaged causing no casualties of life, around. I got some of my neighbour build their temporary tent and donate some amount of money for earthquake's victim. The government deducted or levied some portion of our monthly salary in Prime Ministers Relief Fund Programme.

Till date, the quake has already hit hard death tolling several of thousands including domesticated animals, devastating and damaging different historical monuments, destroying and debrising houses, hotels and sky scrapers, displacing and dislocating lots of people from their homes detaching from their family members causing purely irrecoverable loss, which rose as bitter question, today, for everyone.

All the citizens, volunteers, security forces, rescue teams from in and abroad, had great generous, gratituable role, did their best job succoring each other from road to death. Having heard and coming in news about Prime Ministers Relief Fund Programme, scores of people, organization, NGOs, INGOs and countries jumped on bandwagon, donated their possible sum of amounts and other relief materials as well.

To pacify this havoc  situation, Government  is trying its best to consider, cumulate and concentrate all its available resources and human manpower with their energy and enthusiasm in this post disasterous period, rescuing victims they are trapped at first, if got informed still, distributing relief material to displaced families, releasing funds to dislocated ones, rehabilating them in makeshifts at safe surroundings, clearing dead bodies and debris, retrofitting and reconstruction of reliable shelters just before the monsoon, in its way to add fuel to fire, but, all these going in slow pace having certain loop holes and hindering factor in its way to progress that may take years to complete. Government should come with well vivid versed managerial planning, implementing and imparting, properly and proportionatly, to its best execution, rationally, in full swing, maintaining transperancy, to mollify concurrent sorrowful situation, thinking of those needy ones, avidly waiting first, rather than those having political touch and term. Learning, earning and employing, the tactics and techniques tracked and tightened up by the quake prone country, Japan as an example, before, during and after the eartquake, for their development, would be fruitful and could be helpful in future reference as well, to minimize destruction by such calamity.

Its not just bounden duty of Government to succor and support its countrymen during this type of unpredictable catastrophe to restore to the orginal phase. Its duty of every citizen to share this big national duty, rise above avarice and selfishness of their personal level and interest, go hand in hand, to help, support and strengthen to overcome tragedic trauma, by any possible means that the target could be readily reached.

No such, big and wild, destructions and damages came to be true, as forecasted by geologist earlier, however, the devastation made was not of small strength, that, that cannot be ignored as well. Let bygones be bygones, its time to take care and caution, accept it as better solution, to step smarter, to channelise it into positive vibes, rising above groaning and mourning. Its not just time to brood over the consequences that tremor and temblor headed us, but, having lessons learned, its a true time to showcase true spirit of national unity and brotherhood that binded and beaded us together. Keeping our peck, having hope, hap, humanity, helping hand and healing hint, jumbled and juggled together, effective and efficient use of effort, energy and enthusiasm from each individual level should be cherished mission, designed to rise, rinse, restore, recuperate and rebuild, Nepal again, being better than earlier, on its way angled to reach summit of success.

Today, both Chakor and Country are having life, full of misery, mishap and misfortune and it would be very watchable to see how actions will be footed forward to get fantasies come true. Looking forward to it.......
