RAMECHHAP, June 30: A person was killed while another sustained critical injury after a Bolero jeep met with an accident in Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-1 of Ramechhap on Saturday morning.
The driver of the jeep Kyalbu Tamang died on the spot while the ward chief of Likhu Tamakoshi-1, Ningmar Tamang, was injured in the accident. The ill-fated jeep (Na 4 Cha 5205), which was heading toward Sabra from Durgaun in the district met with the accident in a place called Terse of the same ward, according to the District Police Office, Ramechhap.

As per the witnesses, the Bolero went out of control in a bend after which the driver and the ward chief jumped from the windows to escape death. Unfortunately, the vehicle fell toward the side where the driver had jumped and crushed him to death.
Meanwhile, Inspector Shekh Adalat of the District Police Office, Ramechhap informed Republica that the seriously injured ward chief has been brought to the district headquarters for treatment. It has been learnt that the vehicle belongs to the driver himself.
