Some of us might have wanted to be a teacher or a doctor or a musician when we were younger. And like most things, our description of our dream jobs change as we grow older.[break]
Pujan Rijal says, “I am an aspiring Radio Jockey (RJ). I’ve always been interested in this job and the people who do this simply ‘wow’ me. I think it feels great to voice your opinions and entertain the listeners who tune in to your program. I’m really passionate about doing this job. Whenever I am bored, I write the script for the programs, I listen to and record them, pretending to be a radio jockey. I love doing it. However, due to time constraints and my studies, I’ve not been able to apply for the job. But I’m sure that someday, my dream will come true and I’ll be in cloud nine when that happens.”
Sabin KC, 21, a second year student of Bachelors in Business Studies at NIMS College, says, “I’ve always wanted to be an army man. Once, I went to try for the post of Lieutenant in the army but I missed carrying my SLC transcripts and as it was the last day for the tryouts, I missed getting in. I still want to try, though.”
He also has a backup plan, however. Sounding practical, he says, “If that doesn’t work out then I’ll be joining a bank.”
Then, there are those of us who have always wanted to be independent and working for no one but ourselves.
On our Facebook page, Wyclife Gumisiriza says, “My dream job would be a job where I can be the boss. It doesn’t matter what kind of a job it is, as long as I’m self employed.”
Sushant Thapa, a student of Bachelors in Business Studies at Nesfield International College, agrees. He elaborates, “My dream is to be self employed. No matter what the work is, small or big, I want to start my own business where I am the employee as well as the employer.”
