“Leaders here are capable to resolve the Madhes issue,” he said at an interaction at Reporters’ Club in the capital, “India wishes for development in Nepal and goodwill between the two countries.”
Saying that Madhesi leaders told him that the constitution has curtailed rights guaranteed by the interim constitution, the Indian leader said he asked them to solve the issue in Nepal.
“India should not be dragged into Nepal’s internal affairs,” he said, “It has been established that Nepali leaders are capable to resolve the crisis.”
Nitish is in Kathmandu to attend the 13th General Convention of Nepali Congress that started in Kathmandu today.
