Domestic violence survivor Binu splashes black ink on Supreme Court Board (In pictures)

Binu Yadav’s ex-husband Pradeep Kathayat from Manthali, filed a divorce case in the Ramechhap District Court. After the court pronounced its verdict on the divorce, she had previously consumed poison within the court premises.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Binu Yadav, who has been claiming that she was subjected to domestic violence, has splashed black ink on the gate of the Supreme Court on Tuesday.


Yadav, who came wearing a black saree, splashed black ink on the board of the Court. In October 2019, Yadav’s ex-husband Pradeep Kathayat from Manthali, filed a divorce case in the Ramechhap District Court. After the court pronounced its verdict on the divorce, she had previously consumed poison within the court premises.

Police detained her after she splashed black ink on the board. Police have taken her to the Police Circle, Singha Durbar.
