“The program kicked off with a bang with Laure. After an electrifying performance by Laure, Bipul Chettri and The Travelling Band took to the stage and set the mood for the night,” it said. “Next to add to the entertainment was the amazing Neetesh Jung Kunwar with his soulful music. The stage was then taken by the duo, Rohit Shakya and Trishala Gurung for a stunning 45 minutes.”
Finally, the man of the hour, the one and the only American super producer DJ DIPLO took to the stage for an exciting performance to be remembered for ages to come, it said.
The Tuborg Stay Open global track was released on May 11, followed by Nepali Lyric Video release in June. Tuborg OPEN Nepali Music Video pairing global artists Diplo and MØ along with Nepali Rapper Laure and Bipul Chettri was released in September, according to the statement.
The Global campaign ended with this Grand Tuborg Open Fest on Saturday.
The project began in March that led to Bipul and Laure fly to Copenhagen to meet with Danish star MØ where they shared their open approaches to making music and put a unique spin on the final Nepali version of the song.
“To be part of Tuborg Open for the second year is really cool. This year Tuborg came to us with the idea of being “Open to More” and MØ and I were already working on ‘Stay Open,’ this track about how so many times people are closed but it’s important to stay open to new people and experiences,” said Diplo.
Danish vocalist and songwriter MØ said, “For me, the journey you go on to get to the finished product is often the best bit. By being open to new influences, you mix together things that you think will never fit but sometimes, it really works well. I love what you learn and experience from doing that and watching the track you had at the start become something totally different.”
