Superb is a luxury sedan of 1798 cc with well-furnished interior and dashing exterior designs. It has a multi-functional four spoke leather steering wheel. [break]
The car is equipped with modern features like rain sensor that automatically activates the aero-wipers. It has mobile device interface that enables the users to connect iPod and USB cables and inbuilt Bluetooth.
“As the vehicle offers a huge amount of comfort and luxury, we are hopeful of selling a significant number of this car in the coming year,” said Deepak K Agrawal, the general manager of Skoda Division, MAW.
The sedan is equipped with Climatronic (automatic climate control system) that maintains the inside temperature of the car. Similarly, it has dual-zone climatic control feature that maintains different temperatures at driver´s and passenger´s side when necessary.
“We are also planning to add different features like Parktronic sensor, which detect the presence of obstacles in front and rear of the vehicle during parking, and keyless entry in the diesel version from the next lot,” added Agrawal.
The car is available in twelve different colors. It has interior in eight different colors.
Agrawal said they were trying to sell at least 25 units of diesel version of Superb within a year. “We cannot expect the car to do any better than this because it´s a high class luxury sedan and the target market is very limited,” said Agrawal.
The car meets Euro III standard in environment friendliness. The diesel version of Superb is priced Rs 6.99 million. MAW has already sold 12 units of cars even though it hasn´t been formally introduced in the market.
