KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Dengue has spread across 74 districts this year. A total of 4,097 people have been infected with dengue as of August 9. The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) said that two people have lost their lives due to dengue infection during this period.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
The highest number of infections, totaling 1,669, has been reported in Gandaki Province. According to the EDCD, the highest infection rate has been recorded in Tanahun district, with 781 cases confirmed.
In Kathmandu, 380 people have been detected with dengue, followed by Kaski with 351 cases, Parbat with 177, Chitwan with 157, and Jhapa with 149. The number of infections is below 100 in the remaining districts. According to the EDCD, dengue has been detected in all districts except Mustang, Humla, and Jumla.
