KATHMANDU, April 9: The champions of the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) are locking their horns against the Indian national team captain Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening match of the 14th edition at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday evening.
The clash between the five-time winner MI and RCB, which is yet to lift the trophy, is scheduled to kick off at 07:45 PM NST. The lineups of both the teams are star-studded and full of match-winners and the famed entertainers of this format.
Lamichhane, Mishra end Mumbai Indian’s IPL campaign
When it comes to MI, with the highest number of IPL titles, this team is eyeing to finish with a IPL trophy hat-trick. The team features Captain Rohit Sharma along with Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav and powerful all-rounders, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard.
The bowling department is the powerbank featuring a lethal pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult, as well as spinners duo Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya.
