KATHMANDU, Dec 2: A meeting among the government, main opposition and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has been called off for today.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made the announcement today via his official Twitter handle. A tripartite meeting slated for today evening was touted as 'decisive'.The next meeting will be announced after a major three parties meeting on Thursday morning, the PM said in his Twitter.

Top leaders of UDMF had decided to remain absent as they had to attend a mass meeting in Janakpur today.

However, Chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Upendra Yadav was of the opinion that government can hold decisive talks with the front's talks team.

"There is no need of chiefs of parties associated with the front during the talks," he said.
