DAOs asked to make list of isolation centers, hospital and medical colleges for COVID-19 treatment

KATHMANDU, August 13: The Home Ministry has directed District Administration Offices (DAOs) across the country to make a list of isolation center, hospitals and medical colleges designated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.


Issuing a notice on Friday, the Home Ministry has said that it is deemed necessary to make arrangement of medical treatment facilities as the outbreak of the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is imminent.

The ministry has asked the DAOs to update the list of those receiving treatment for the COVID-19 in the designated medical services on a daily basis and send the details to the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC). Similarly, the DAOs have been asked to send details of those receiving free of cost treatment of COVID-19 to the health ministry on monthly basis for the purpose of refunding their expenses.


Among other things, the Home Ministry has also directed DAOs to make regular supervision and monitoring of the hospitals designated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
