Nilbarahi dance is considered as one of the biggest festivals after Bisket Jatra (tongue piercing festival), which is observed in Bode with much gusto.

This dance begins from the main entrance of Bode and then circumvents the different temples of the locality.

Dancers during the performance do not talk with anyone and also do not take foods. People from houses offer prayers to dancers impersonating deities on the occasion.
