34-year-old Rana Magar of Salleri VDC has been found murdered in a stream near his house on Tuesday evening. [break]
According to an NC local cadre Hari Rana, Nabin Singh had a dispute over political issues with the UML cadres while playing Deusi on Monday.
“He went missing since. We searched for him throughout Tuesday but could not find him. Later in the evening we found him lying dead in a stream,” said Hari.
He has apparently been murdered as Rana Magar’s body had injury marks and been dipped in the blood.
Rana Magar was murdered in cold blood having seen a huge public support in favor of NC, said Krishna Kumar BC, Dailekh district president of NC.
His family members maintained that Nabin Singh must have died of a brutal beating.
Meanwhile, NC Dailekh district has warned of a strong stir if the government does not bring the guilty to book without delay. Assaulted Rana Magar’s father Dil Bahadur Rana had been shot dead at the headquarters-based police post in 2061 BS over a political row.
District Police Office, Dailekh has deployed a squad of police to the incident site. The police have arrested four UML cadres so far in connection with the incident. Further investigation is underway, said police.
