KATHMANDU, October 9. The Secretariat of former prime minister and Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has refuted comments made by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice-chairman Rabindra Mishra in the context of their meeting on Tuesday.
Dahal’s Personal Secretary Ramesh Malla stated that there is no truth in Mishra's comments, calling them a fabrication.

"During yesterday's meeting in Khumaltar, Rabindra Mishra expressed his views and subsequently wrote comments on Facebook, attributing them to the former prime minister and revered Chairman," Malla said in a statement, making the Secretariat's stance public. "Mishra presenting his fabricated topics as the views of someone who led the great sacrificial movement to establish a federal democratic republic, who led the peace process and constitution-making, and who is currently leading the mission for good governance, social justice, and prosperity to take the country towards the socialist destination is not a sign of political culture."
Malla also questioned whether any Nepali might still be under the illusion regarding the autocracy of the Panchayat and the deterioration and devastation of the country under the monarchical system, stating, "Mr Mishra, it would have been better if you had not engaged in such cheap apolitical propaganda."
However, taking to Fcebook on Wednesday, Mishra wrote, “When meeting with major leaders, I have never made public the discussions that are meant to remain between us. I have adhered to that same policy regarding our conversation yesterday.”
In a Facebook status on Tuesday, Mishra claimed that Dahal had praised the late King Mahendra for starting industrialization in Nepal in their meeting that took place at Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar, adding that Dahal was of the view of collaborating with the monarchy, if need be, and if that served the national interest.
