Dahal is trying to impose 'dictatorship': Bhandari

By
LAHAN, Aug 24: Chairman of the National Madhes Socialist Party, Sharat Singh Bhandari accused UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of trying to be another king in the country. He said that Dahal is acting like a ´dictator´ and that his dream to rule the country would not materialize ever.

Speaking to the media persons in Lahan on Friday, Bhandari opined that there is no logic in proposing ordinances by the caretaker government. "It is very unfortunate to dream of running the country through ordinances," he reiterated. [break]

He also criticized the UCPN (Maoist) of trying to lead the country to confrontation by forming alliances. Bhandari also accused the political parties like UCPN (Maoist) and Nepali Congress of trying to demean the President.

Underlining that both the Maoist and NC are power hungry, Bhandari stressed that both the parties are and not committed towards giving the country a political outlet. "By using the President both Maoist and NC are trying to fulfill their desires, ultimately pushing the country towards uncertainty and confrontation," he said.

He also blamed the United Democratic Madhesi Front, an alliance of five Madhes based parties of forgetting the Madhesi issues and that of being greedy for power.
