Dahal draws PM’s attention to action taken against cricketers

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba toward the action taken against some national level cricketers.

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba toward the action taken against some national level cricketers.


According to Prachanda’s personal secretary Ganga Dahal, he drew the attention of the Prime Minister to the action taken against the cricketers in a meeting with PM Deuba on Friday morning. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), on Wednesday took action against Nepali national team captain Gyanendra Malla, vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airy, pacer Sompal Kami and Kamal Singh Airy for the alleged violation of the players' code of conduct.

CAN sought an explanation from the players on the same, but decided to take action saying that the player's explanation was not satisfactory.
