KATHMANDU, Sept 3: CPN-UML Vice Chairman and Constituent Assembly Chairman Subaschandra Nembang has been recommended as a candidate from Ilam Constituency-2 for the House of Representatives elections to be held on November 20.

According to Subedi, the recommendation from the Subordinate Committee will be sent to the province by the district. Nembang's candidacy from UML in Constituency 2 has been confirmed as no other names have been recommended.
Nembang has been consistently winning all parliamentary/constituent assembly elections since 2056 BS from this constituency. He defeated Keshav Thapa of the Nepali Congress in the 2074 BS House of Representatives election. Nembang got 36,517 votes while Thapa got 26,865 votes.
