JANAKPUR, July 4: Demanding to release leaders and cadres, cadres of different political parties have gheraoed District Police Office (DPO) in Janakpur on Monday.
Police had arrested eight leaders and cadres of different parties after disputes over a school management committee turned ugly on Saturday night.

A brawl was ensued between the groups led by CPN (Maoist Center)’s politburo member Ram Chandra Mandal and Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) leader Ram Sukhit Yadav and Nepali Congress’ Ram Baran Paswaan.
Police had arrested Mandal,Yadav, Paswan among others after the disputes related to a management committee of Janata Secondary School turned in a brawl.
According to District Police Spokesperson DSP Nakul Pokharel, they are charged under Some Public (Crime and Punishment) Act after sending them to judicial custody through court’s order.
Pokhare told Republica Online that they were arrested after manhandling police personnel during the brawl, adding that the guilty will be brought to book.
Protestors led by Maoist Center’s Central Committee Member Dipak Yadav and Forum’s District Chairman Sesh Narayan Yadav are picketing the District Police Office.
