BIRENDRANAGAR, Nov 5: The construction of temporary housing has started in Jajarkot, which was hit by an earthquake Friday night. With the help of security personnel, a temporary residence has been built in Khalanga, Jajarkot.
Tents received through various aid agencies are going to be installed by the security personnel for temporary accommodation. At present, 10 temporary residences have been made in Tribhuvan Secondary School at Khalanga, Thaple in Jajarkot. Around 16 people can sleep in one temporary residence.

DIG Bhim Prasad Dhakal, head of Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet, said that the security personnel are building temporary residences in various municipalities of Rukum West and Jajarkot districts. Most of the houses in this area have been completely destroyed in the earthquake. He added that the detailed assessments are still underway to determine the exact number of houses affected in Jajarkot and Rukum West.
