The hotel is currently building boundary walls. "Construction of boundary walls is at final stage," Kiran Joshi, project manager of the hotel, told Republica. "We will begin construction of construction of buildings after boundary walls are built."
According to Joshi, the new hotel will have 81 rooms with all modern amenities. It is being built at an investment of Rs 400 million on in 35 kattha of land.
Soaltee Crowne Plaza had acquired the land two years ago.
According to Joshi, the hotel will have a swimming pool, meeting halls and restaurants. The main building will have six stories. The hotel is also using energy-efficient technology.
Considering long power cuts, Joshi said the hotel would install Radiant technology which consumes less energy. "The new technology will make the hotel environment-friendly," he added.
Ravi Bhakta Shrestha, director of the hotel, said the new hotel will cater quality services to people outside the valley. "The new hotel will cater standard and luxury services to tourists and diplomats reaching Nepalgunj -- the commercial hub of mid-western region -- and surrounding areas," said Shrestha.
Likewise, Janardan Pandey, president of Hotel Association Nepal, Banke said that the operation of Soaltee hotel will be a milestone for tourism industry in western part of the country.
