Congress ready to fight totalitarianism

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand has said that the time had come for the Nepali Congress to once again fight against communist totalitarianism.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand has said that the time had come for the Nepali Congress to once again fight against communist totalitarianism.


Speaking at a face-to-face programme organised by NC election mobilization committee here today, he said the present election was a referendum between democrats and communists. And since, the communist force could do away with democracy, the Congress will have to restore it.

Also coordinator of the committee, leader Khand said people in various professions and business including economists, former university VCs, former administrators, governors and journalists should remain alert towards the situation whereby the NC would have to fight to restore democracy to the people.


On the occasion, former Vice-chair of National Planning Commission Dr Jagdish Chandra Pokharel, former Governor Dipendra Purush Dhakal, former Vice-chancellor of Kathmandu University Dr Suresh Raj Sharma, former Chief Secretary Bimal Koirala and other speakers emphasized on the need of inevitability of democracy to ensure people's rights and rule of law.  RSS
