DAMAULI (TANAHUN), March 27: A concrete bridge has been constructed over the Trishuli River connecting Devghat Rural Municipality of Tanahun and Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan. The bridge was constructed at the cost of Rs 216.848 million.
The bridge connecting Devghat-5, Ghinatar and Bharatpur metropolitan city-1, Thimura has already come into operation.
'Bridge over Tamor River risky'
Devghat rural municipality chair Til Bahadur Thapa shared a plan to formally inaugurate the bridge. Bridge Construction Users’ Committee Chair Tankanath Poudel informed that a decision was made to request President Ramchandra Paudel for the inauguration of the bridge on coming March 30 (Saturday).
A meeting of security chiefs, including the Chief District Officers of Tanahun and Chitwan, would be held today in the context of the invitation extended to the President for the inauguration, he said.
The construction of the bridge had started in October 2015.
