A meeting of the locals held under the chair of Constituent Assembly (CA) member from the constituency Nabindra Raj Joshi on Wednesday formed various committees to expedite relief efforts, and conserve and renovate damaged cultural heritages.
The meeting has formed a committee comprising Sidhhanta Raj Pandey and Kiran Joshi to collect relief materials and distribute them equally to the victims of earthquake in the election constituency. They plan to collect relief materials from the people and help others in need. "The committee will also ensure that the relief materials are distributed equitably among all victims in the constituency," said CA member Joshi, who heads the main coordination committee of sub committees.Similarly, the meeting has also decided to form another committee comprising engineer duo Dr Bharat Man Singh Pradhan and Dr Roshni Maharjan. This team will inspect houses affected by the earthquake.
According to CA member Joshi, the meeting also formed another committee comprising Yogeshwar Amatya and Prachanda Man Shrestha to suggest ways to conserve and renovate cultural heritages that were damage in the earthquake. It may recalled that Kathmandu Durbar Square that included various cultural heritages fall in the Kathmandu election constituency number 8.
The meeting also formed a team comprising two medical doctors, who are entrusted with ensuring treatment to all needy and find places for temporary settlement to victims so that there is no threat of epidemic outbreak. "We will provide suggestions received from the committee to the government," said lawmaker Joshi.
