KATHMANDU, March 1: ARTUDIO “true home for creative experience & exploration” has been conducting several series of street mural art movement “We Make the Nation” photography workshops, open photography meet-ups, critical photo discussion series (fotoguff), different photo trips and seminars with different national and international photographers.



They now proudly present their first National Photo Contest entitled “Hamro Nepal-2012” with the purpose of encouraging professional, amateur photographers, and photo enthuse all over the world to envision different perspectives of Nepal.[break]



There are four categories, namely, Sundar Nepal, Nepali ranga, Nepal aaja, and Mero cell phone ra compact camera bata where top 80 photographs will be selected, 20 photos from each category and exhibited in an accessible and reputed gallery in Kathmandu along with the most glorious award in Nepal’s little history of photography.







“The event can act as a perfect platform to promote photography in Nepal and aims to present unique views, document different perspectives, and primarily give a common creative platform to encourage all the interested ones to participate with pictures having Nepal at their hearts,” shares Kailash K Shrestha, the Visual Artist at Artudio.



Submission opens from 10 am on March 1 and ends on March 20.



Forms need to be filled along with the soft copy of the photos and submitted to www.artudio.org/hamronepal or emailed to photo.hamronepal@gmail.com.



Candidates can also drop the forms along with the soft copy of the photos and CV to Artudio, Nursery Marg, Lazimpat or Photo Hollywood, Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
