KATHMANDU, July 4: Citizens Bank International Limited that has been providing uninterrupted banking services to the public for the past 17 years has announced the expansion of its branch network. With a focus on improving financial stability, the bank has opened five new branches across different provinces.


The newly established branches include Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha of Koshi Province; Damauli, Tanahun of Gandaki Province; Gulariya, Bardiya of Lumbini Province; Srinagar, Salyan in Karnali Province; and Patan, Baitadi in Sudurpaschim Province. This expansion brings the total number of operational branches to 188, distributed provincially.

To cater to the diverse financial needs of its customers, Citizens Bank International offers retail banking services to individuals, small businesses, and corporations through these branches. According to the bank, it aims to provide essential resources and facilitate quick, convenient, and affordable financial services such as savings accounts, deposit schemes, locker services, ATM services, home and vehicle loans, and small business loans.


During a function held at the bank's headquarters, the Chief Executive Officer Ganesh Raj Pokharel congratulated the employees of the new branches and encouraged them to deliver excellent service with a customer-centric approach. He emphasized the importance of governance, compliance, and accountability in maintaining the bank's reputation. Pokharel urged all executive officers to prioritize efficient and timely services, highlighting the bank's motto, "System Inside: Image Outside."


Citizens Bank International Limited operates 188 branches, three extended counters, 143 ATMs, six kiosk services, and 97 branchless banking units throughout the country. These services cater to approximately 1.6 million customers, offering them accessible and reliable banking services.


With its recent branch expansion, Citizens Bank International aims to strengthen its presence and continue providing excellent banking services to foster financial stability and meet the evolving needs of its customers across Nepal.
