CIB seizes gun from TIA cargo

KATHMANDU, March 2: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Wednesday seized a gun during a raid at the cargo terminal of the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Tipped-off by a special source, the CIB squad had raided the import building of the TIA cargo terminal in the afternoon and found the unauthorized weapon brought from Israel.


Investigation on the owner of the gun is underway, informed CIB Director, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nawaraj Silwal. No documentations related to the weapon have been found and no one has come forward to claim its ownership, informed Silwal.
