Of this amount, Rs 27.8 million had been mistakenly released to the sub-metropolitan office. But instead of returning the amount to DDO, it used the money to pay salaries to staffers.
“CIAA has begun investigation after learning that the sub-metropolitan office misused the money,” said Kaski Local Development Officer Ishwor Raj Poudel.
