BARA, Dec 22: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) that sealed the warehouse of Dabur Nepal a couple of days ago on the charge of labeling its juice products with manufacturing date two months forward of the actual manufacturing time started investigation into the case from Wednesday.

A team of the constitutional anti-corruption body had sealed 74,000 cartons of Real and Active juices at the production unit of the Indian multinational company in Parawanipur of Bara on Monday. [break]

The team led by Sameer Silwal, joint-attorney general of CIAA, had found that the company had mentioned January 2011 as the manufacturing date for products manufactured a month earlier.

“We have formally launched investigation into the case. Our investigation team has already brought the samples to the capital for lab tests,” said Iswori Poudel, spokesperson of the CIAA. Poudel, however, declined to disclose possible action that the CIAA will take against Dabur Nepal.
