Of four kattha land situated at Santoshi Tole in Dhangadhi, brought in the name of the church with the money donated by Christians of several countries, two kattha has been registered in the name of Pastor Jitendra Shrestha of Kalwari Church.
Similarly, two kattha of land belonging to Beith Service Church in Kanchanpur´s Jhalari has been registered in the names of Pastor Khimlal Khatri and his mother-in-law Dil Kumari Gurung.
After the incident came to light, local Christians have been demanding that the land registered in the pastors´ names be transferred to church´s name.
When asked, Khatri claimed that he and Shrestha had bought the land and leased it to the two churches.
