KATHMANDU, August 17: Vice-Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yang, returned home today after wrapping up his four-day official visit to Nepal. He left for Beijing on a special aircraft.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara was at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to see off the special guest from the neighbour country China. Likewise, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jitendra Narayan Dev, Nepal's Ambassador to China, Leelamani Poudyal, Secretary at the Foreign Ministry Shanker Das Bairagi, China's Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong and senior officials from the Chinese Embassy here had reached TIA to bid farewell to the Chinese Vice-Premier.

During his stay in Nepal, Wang had separately called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN ( Maoist Center) chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN (UML) chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. 


Likewise, he had held bilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Bijay Kumar Gachhadar and his delegation and inaugurated the renovation of the Hanumandhoka Durbar Square-based historic Nautale Durbar (nine-store palace). 

The renovation is taking place with the financial assistance from the Government of China. RSS
