Chinese foreign minister arrives

KATHMANDU: Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi arrived on Tuesday for a three-day visit of Nepal on invitation by Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav. Yang is the highest Chinese official to visit Nepal since his predecessor Li Zhaoxing’s attended during ex-King Gyanendra’s rule in 2005. Yang is scheduled to hold talks on Wednesday with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and his Nepalese counterpart Yadav. Yang declined to give any comment to the media upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
