China-South Asia expo from June 6

KATHMANDU, April 13: The First China-South Asia Exposition is being held in Kunming, China, from June 6 to 10 to promote economic, trade, cultural and academic exchanges and cooperation between South Asian countries and China, especially the Yunnan Province.



The expo is being co-hosted by China´s Ministry of Commerce and the People´s Government of Yunnan Province, says a statement. [break]



The purpose of the expo is to promote all-round China-South Asia cooperation and development, says the statement.



During the expo various events such as China-South Asia business forum, sourcing, investment promotion for South Asian countries, ministerial consultation meeting, think-tank forum, Fifth GMS Economic Corridor Week, 11th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Chinese business investment promotion and Asia-Pacific Chinese business forum and South Asia Television Arts Week, among others, will be held, says the statement.



The 21st China Kunming Import and Export Fair will also be held during the same period, adds the statement.
