The embassy, in its press release, also refuted media reports that alleged the encroachment of Nepali territories by China.
"We have also noticed some irresponsible media and individual groups that claimed China encroached the Nepali land. These accusations are baseless," the embassy stated. The embassy said that these baseless reports are aimed at diverting public attention right now.
Recalling that China and Nepal signed Boundary Treaty in 1961 and the boundary has been delimited and demarcated, the embassy said that the two sides have good cooperation in matters such as the boundary and dry ports affairs over the years.
"In October this year, President Xi Jinping paid a successful state visit to Nepal. During the visit, the two sides signed the Agreement on the Boundary Management System. China is willing to further strengthen cooperation with the Nepali side on boundary affairs to avoid foreign interference and promote common development. Any attempt to undermine China-Nepal relations won’t be achievable," the press release added.
