KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed a charge sheet against Sub Inspector of Police Kundan Poudel at Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgung.

Issuing a statement, CIAA has accused Poudel of submitting fake and forged academic certificate of secondary and intermediated level acquired from Secondary Education Council, India for the purpose of the initial appointment as ASI, promotion and positional benefits.
“Thus the commission has filed the charge sheet claiming for maximum punishment under sec 12 and 29(2) of the former Corruption Control Act, 1961 and sec 16(1) of prevailing Prevention of Corruption Act 2002,” CIAA said in the statement.
