The annual Chaitya Puja was held at the Hotel Temple Court of Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, on Wednesday. According to the press statement, the rituals were performed by Newar priests in the presence of in-house patrons, hotel associates, and guests from various organizations. The annual puja is performed to revive energy for the prosperity of the hotel, its staffs, and guests.

The hotel’s Temple Court is the home to replicas of Nine living ‘Chaityas’ built between the 7th and 19th centuries around Kathmandu Valley. Chaityas are four-faced Buddhist sanctuaries representing Dhyani, or meditating, Buddha.
