CBS launches ever first integrated data portal

KATHMANDU, April 28: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has launched the country’s first integrated statistics portal. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the portal named nationaldata.gov.np amidst a full meeting of the National Planning Commission today.

KATHMANDU, April 28: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has launched the country’s first integrated statistics portal. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the portal named nationaldata.gov.np amidst a full meeting of the National Planning Commission today.


The CBS is the NPC's subordinate body. The portal avails data processed on the basis of the geography of federal, State and local levels, nature, potentials and the sustainable development goals.

The launch of the portal was of the commitments made by the government policies and programmes for the current fiscal year. CBS Director General Suman Aryal said the portal based on the principle of open data is expected to ensure people’s access to data concerning multiple fields including the national geography, nature, resources, potentials and SDGs.


The bodies concerned will update on the portal as per the need. The meeting is scheduled to finalize the concept paper of the draft of the upcoming 15th periodic plan.  RSS
