CBFIN announces to give Rs 1 million assistance to earthquake victims

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) is going to contribute Rs 1 million to the earthquake relief fund.

On Sunday, the CBFIN announced that it will provide financial support to the earthquake victims of Jajarkot and Rukum West by issuing a press release. In order to assist in the immediate search, rescue, and safe rehabilitation of the injured with the necessary medical treatment and relief of the common people of the respective areas who are going through the terrible situation of the earthquake, it has been announced that through the relevant district administration offices and local bodies, financial assistance of Rs 1 million will be provided by CBFIN for the time being.


CBFIN contacted the chief district officers of the respective districts and got information about the actual situation of the affected people. As they were informed that food, medicine, shelter with baby clothes is urgently needed, the CBFIN has also requested that all the concerned provinces/districts and localities as well as all the banks and financial institutions operating should extend a helping hand in the sacred humanitarian service of collecting the mentioned relief materials and delivering them to the respective areas.
