SINDHULI, Nov 5: These days, candidates of both left and right alliances have geared themselves up for spearheading their campaigns and finding out the best political agendas for wooing more voters to support them in the upcoming parliamentary and provincial polls scheduled for December 7.
With very less time left for the much-anticipated polls, candidates are busy making strategies and agendas to attract more voters. They are also making sure that their agendas are new and need-based. After registering their candidacies on Thursday, the candidates of both left and democratic alliances have held several meetings with their supporters. They are holding discussions on not only central agendas but also the local agendas.
Candidates busy forming strategies for polls
Ujjwal Prasad Baral, district president of Nepali Congress (NC) said that the party will have one central agenda but it will have other supporting agendas particularly aimed at local development. “It is very important to understand the needs of the people living in different areas as all of them don't have the same problems,” he said.
According to him, the left alliance has posed some challenge but NC is ready to face them. The party is hopeful that their loyal supporters will always be with them. Though the left alliance comprising of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) has formed a common promotion committee, both the parties are organizing separate meetings to find best strategies for making their candidates win.
Similarly, Jwala Prasad Neupane of CPN (Maoist Center) said that their parties have different agendas for the people of different localities. According to him, the left alliance is putting all efforts to make their candidates win in the elections. In Sindhuli, there are two electoral constituencies for parliament and four electoral constituencies for the provincial assembly.
