Campus chief accused of rape

BAITADI, JULY 15: Rajendra Singh Negi, chief of Baitadi's Purachaudi Multiple Campus, has been accused of rape. A case of rape has been registered against him, said Baitadi Police Spokesperson Inspector Lokraj Joshi.

BAITADI, JULY 15: Rajendra Singh Negi, chief of Baitadi's Purachaudi Multiple Campus, has been accused of rape. A case of rape has been registered against him, said Baitadi Police Spokesperson Inspector Lokraj Joshi.


A rape case was registered against Negi at the local police office, Patan, based on a complaint filed by a woman from Kailali that she had been raped by Negi. According to the police, after the case was registered based on the complaint filed by the victim, the campus chief Negi was arrested and currently being investigated.

The campus chief has been accused of raping a woman from Kailali working in Purchaudihat of Baitadi. It has been accused that the woman was raped on the pretext of asking for water on July 4. The victim's health was examined on Wednesday. The test report is yet to come. Campus Chief Negi has also resigned from his post.
