The government on January 11 decided to establish such service centers in 52 districts outside district headquarters to facilitate the delivery of public services especially to the people from far-flung villages.
But the government on last Sunday decided not to implement the earlier decision to establish such centers in Rautahat, Bara, Sarlahi and Mahottari districts.
"The government must implement its decision. We will continue the hunger strike until the authorities bows to the people´s demand to establish such centers outside the district headquarters," CA member and leader of Chure Bhawar Rastriya Ekta Party, Keshav Mainali told myrepublica.com. A group of people led by Mainali started hunger strike at 9 pm on Thursday and relayed to another group on Friday morning.
"Now another group of some 15 people led by CA member Prem Bahadur Singh have joined the strike and they will continue until another group replaces them," he said.
Meanwhile, locals have been staging a strike along the east-west highways in these districts pressing for the same demand.
