Butwal-Palpa road section will be repaired soon: Minister Mahaseth

PALPA, Jun 6: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth has inspected the Siddhartha Highway on Wednesday.

PALPA, Jun 6: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth has inspected the Siddhartha Highway on Wednesday.


Following inspection by a technical team including Minister Mahaseth, Director General of Department of Roads Rabindra Shrestha, Secretary of the concerned Ministry, Mahaseth assured the locals that the government will initiate the repair works of Butwal-Palpa road section at the earliest.

Mahaseth also expressed commitment to start the construction and repair works of Siddhababa Temple which has suffered damages.


The road section has developed potholes and 2.8 km road section has been badly damaged. 


Mahaseth said the government will pick one of the options for the Butwal-Palpa road section either by cutting hills or digging tunnel. The government has allocated a huge amount of budget in the coming fiscal year 2018/19 for tunnel digging.
