Speaking at the inaugural function, Dipendra Karki, general manager of the bank, said the bank would establish itself in a distinct way by providing more services for costumers, the bank said in a statement. The bank also unveiled its two new saving accounts ´Savi Fixed´ and ´Unnati Bachat´.
Aryal said the bank would continue expanding branches in major cities across the country, the statement added.
Laxmi Bank opens two branches
KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Laxmi Bank started operations from its two new branches in Nepalgunj and Butwal on Tuesday.
The new branches will join the bank´s western network, according to a press statement received on Tuesday.
“Both Nepalgunj and Butwal have developed as commercial hubs and Laxmi Bank is positioned to offer full-fledged banking services to all segments of the society -- from businesses to individual households,” according to the bank.
Both branches will offer a full range of banking services such as innovative savings schemes, home loans, life insurance, credit cards, bill payment services and e-banking services through ATM, internet and mobile phones.
Laxmi Bank now operates with a network of 22 branches and 16 ATMs in addition to more than 400 payment agents across the country.
