In the Special Savings Account, depositors will get up to 5 percent interest on daily deposits. They can also avail free SMS service and debit card. Under Call Deposit scheme, customers who open a current account can get interest on par with daily deposit savings account, the statement added.
The new schemes are available through 107 branches of the bank, according to the statement.
Premier to give bonus shares
KATHMANDU, April 13: The annual general meeting of Premier Finance Company Ltd on Tuesday approved the proposal to provide 7.50 percent bonus shares to its shareholders.
“The company has recorded a net profit of Rs 10.33 million in this fiscal year, up from Rs 10.11 million recorded in the previous fiscal year,” the company said in a statement.
The company also managed to increase deposits by 75 percent and loans by 59 percent, according to the statement.
Norvic celebrates 17th anniversary
KATHMANDU, April 13: Norvic International Hospital celebrated it 17th anniversary on Tuesday be scaling new heights.
It is the only hospital in the country ISO 9001:2008 certification. Norvic is affiliated with Medanta -- the MediCity, a premier name in medical care in India, Norvic said in a statement issued on the day.
“By 2011, we will be the 200-bed specialty hospital not only excelling in clinical field but ably supporting the field of medication education,” the statement added.
Norvic has already established Norvic Institute of Nursing. It plans to run courses in MBBS, BDS and courses in public health in the future.
Paschimanchal Dev Bank in Palpa
KATHMANDU, April 13: Paschimanchal Development Bank opened its sixth branch in Rampur of Palpa on Tuesday. The new branch also has an ATM terminal which has been connected around 400 ATMs in the SCT Network, the bank said in a statement.
The bank will provide 9 percent interest on daily deposit in individual savings account and 12 percent interest in one year fixed account.
The bank has been providing modern banking facilities like ATM debit card, SMS mobile banking, internet banking and any branch banking services (ABBS) for its customers for free. It also provides money transfer services throughout the country through its PDBL Remit service.
UTL´s New Year offer
KATHMANDU, April 13: United Telecom Ltd (UTL) has brought out special discount offer to its customers on the occasion of New Year 2067.
Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the company said it is offering U-SIM card at Rs 267 under the offer. “These buying U-SIM will be also be entitled to a free call benefit worth Rs 1,200 as well as 600 free SMS within UTL network,” the company said in a statement.
UTL is the first company to provide services through Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) in Nepal. Customers can call to India at Rs 3 per minute under the service. The company is providing such facility to countries like Singapore, Canada and the USA, according to the statement.
